Domestic exports of Georgia records 16% growth YOY

In January-July 2023 the exports of Georgia (excluding non-declared exports) equaled USD
3 583.4 million, 15.9 percent higher year-on-year. Share of the domestic exports in total export
constituted 48.2 percent and amounted to USD 1 728.2 million, 22.0 percent lower to the same
period of 2022, the National Statistics Office of Georgia said Monday.

During the reporting period, the share of the top ten trading partners by domestic exports in the
total domestic exports of Georgia amounted to 76.2 percent. The top partners were Russia (USD
323.6 million), Türkiye (USD 236.7 million) and China (USD 217.5 million).

In January-July 2023 copper ores and concentrates claimed the first place in the list of top
export items, equaling USD 375.5 million, or 21.7 percent of total exports. The exports of wine
of fresh grapes totaled USD 149.8 million and their share in the total exports amounted to 8.7
percent. The exports of ferro-alloys occupied the third place, standing at USD 111.2 million and
constituting 6.4 percent of the total exports.
