Domestic Producer Price Index Up By 47.44% Y-O-Y - Turkstat

Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) increased by 47.44% on annual basis, by 3.40% on monthly basis
 
D-PPI (2003=100) increased by 3.40% on monthly basis, by 36.06% on December of the previous year basis, by 47.44% on same month of the previous year basis and by 65.55% on the twelve months moving averages basis in September 2023.

Manufacturing  increased by 55.05% annually
 
D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 69.43% for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 55.05% for manufacturing, decreased by 17.08% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, increased by 68.36% for water supply, annually.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 45.79% for intermediate goods, by 61.94% for durable consumer goods, by 67.98% for non-durable consumer goods, by 13.41% for energy, by 65.83% for capital goods, annually.

Manufacturing  increased by 3.07% monthly

D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 5.97% for mining and stone quarrying, by 3.07% for manufacturing, by 5.47% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, by 13.72% for water supply, monthly.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 1.92% for intermediate goods, by 3.73% for durable consumer goods, by 4.80% for non-durable consumer goods, by 6.12% for energy, by 2.96% for capital goods, monthly.

Compared to general D-PPI, lower annual change observed in 10  subdivisions while 19 subdivisions were higher

The only rate of annual decrease in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry was index for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 17.08%. On the other hand the highest rates of annual increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 96.61%, for other mining and quarrying products by 93.27%, for tobacco products by 81.06%.

Compared to general D-PPI, lower monthly change observed in  13 subdivisions while 16 subdivisions were higher

The highest rates of monthly decrease in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for printing and recording services by 0.21%, for basic metals by 0.10%. On the other hand the highest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for tobacco products by 42.46%, for water; water treatment and supply services  by 13.72%, for crude petroleum and natural gas by 8.95%.
