EBRD Increases Economic Growth Forecast for Georgia To 6%

EBRD

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has revised its economic growth forecast for Georgia in 2025 relative to its September 2024 outlook from 4.6 to 6 per cent – the highest in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus (EEC) region.

In Eastern Europe and the Caucasus (EEC), economic growth slowed to 3.9 per cent in 2024 as the boost from intermediated trade and inflows of labour and capital waned. Growth is expected to moderate further in 2025, reaching 3.6 per cent, before picking up to stand at 4.3 per cent in 2026.

The EBRD forecast coincides with the forecast of the Georgian government, the state budget of Georgia is planned for a 6 per cent growth of the economy.

The economic growth forecast for Armenia is 5%, in Azerbaijan – 3%, Moldova – 2% and Ukraine – 3,5%.
