In Q4 2020 the nominal GDP amounted to GEL 13 907.0 million. The real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) declined by 6.8 percent YoY, while the GDP deflator increased by 7.4 percent, - Geostat reports.
Economic Activities, which contracted the most in Q4 2020:
• Hotels and restaurants -53.8%;
• Art, entertainment and leisure -27.9%;
• Transport and warehousing -26.7%;
• Mining industry -19.5%;
• Professional, scientific and technical activities -17.5%;
• Water supply; Sewerage, waste management -9.7%;
• Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - 5.4%;
• Wholesale and retail trade; Repair of cars and motorcycles -3.9%;
• Manufacturing industry -3%;
• Construction -1.2%;
An increase of 7.25% was observed in the financial sector, as well as the growth of 3.7% was noted in the information and telecommunication sectors.
Economic Activities, which increased in Q4, 2020:
• Education 0.3%;
• Real estate activities 0.5%;
• Information and communication 3.7%;
• Rural, forestry and fish farming 5.2%;
• Health and social services activities 6.3%;
• Financial and insurance activities 7.2%.
