We kick-started January on a very active note and with a truly strong position. Economic growth rate has reached 18% and it is unprecedented for the entire region or even for Europe. Exports have increased by 47%, while witnessing growth in every dimension of tourism. That is why, it is very important now to maintain this pace and further advance it. It was stated by Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia at the Executive Government Meeting yesterday.

As he also noted, implementation of the announced projects and programs will be actively launched to maintain the high indicator of economic growth in the country.

"We should be actively launching the projects and programs that have been pre-announced. These are initiatives related to employment, economic accelerators and business promotion. We are all geared to maintain this rate. Challenges in the region are plenty, however we should get adjusted so that our current high economic growth rate is maintained. That is why more communication is required with businesses. Leval Davitashvili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, along with Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia are actively holding meetings with the private sector. They are eagerly interacting with businesses. I will also get actively engaged in this process this week. We need to maintain the high economic growth rate throughout this year" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.

The Head of Government of Georgia also noted that citizens should feel relaxed, as no threat is triggered to the country.

"Irrespective of these challenges and provocations, we will be maintaining peace, security and stability for our citizens in the country. People should remain calm. There is no threat. Nothing is triggering a threat. We should continue building our country in this peaceful and solid manner" stated Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia.
