Edena, a social enterprise in Oni, is expanding cooperation with local businesses. In 2026, it began producing interior decorations and custom display stands for hotels and other companies, creating a new sales channel. Founder Liliana Maisuradze told BMGTV’s Women’s Narrative that the year was stable, supported by tourism and participation in exhibitions and festivals.
Growing demand has increased the workshop’s workload, prompting it to extend working hours. However, limited space restricts further expansion. The enterprise has added one team member and is considering involving women in rural areas through remote work to increase production and create employment opportunities.
Edena combines traditional felt-making techniques with contemporary design while preserving signature products, including its traditional headwear from Racha. The workshop also hosts tourist groups for hands-on felt-making sessions, offering visitors the opportunity to create their own souvenirs.
Looking ahead, Edena plans to expand corporate orders and strengthen partnerships with hotels, wineries, restaurants and other businesses across Georgia. Maisuradze says larger orders would help the workshop organize production more efficiently, increase output and generate more stable revenue.
