Energo-Pro Georgia’s technical crews keep operating in emergency mode in western Georgia. Electricity supply has been restored to some subscribers.
At the peak of the natural disaster, across the Guria region, electricity supply was restricted for 28-30% of subscribers; currently, 18-20% of subscribers remain without electricity.
According to Energo-Pro Georgia, all necessary materials for work have been delivered to the disaster zone, and additional crews from Eastern Georgia are working alongside local electricians.
“Restoration work is also ongoing in Imereti, where electricity is being supplied with restrictions to parts of villages in Vani, Kharagauli, Baghdati, and Zestafoni. The city of Khoni is fully supplied with voltage. Electricity is also being supplied to the majority of subscribers in Samegrelo.
Currently, only a small portion of villages in Zugdidi and Abasha are receiving limited electricity. Work in emergency conditions continues there as well. Most subscribers in Adjara are also being stably supplied with electricity. Only small parts of Kobuleti and Upper Adjara remain without power. Khulo municipality is being fully supplied with electricity.
There may be mobility issues, but we are trying to reach everywhere and conduct restoration work. To make it easier to understand, in some villages, the support pole of a power transmission line, which weighs 400 kg, may be broken. This requires special equipment to bring in new poles. In such cases, the work will take longer,” state representatives of Energo-Pro Georgia.”
