In 2025, Georgia significantly increased its imports of elevators. Over the year, the country imported 9,192 tons of elevators worth a total of $30.95 million. According to official statistics, the value of imports rose by 21.5%, while the volume increased by 22.4% compared to the previous year.
China remained the leading supplier of elevators to Georgia. In 2025, Georgia imported 6,068 tons of elevators from China worth $18.4 million, representing a 15.2% annual increase. Turkey ranked second, exporting 2,498 tons of elevators worth $9.33 million to Georgia, marking a 13.8% growth.
Imports from other countries were relatively small in scale, but several markets recorded notable increases. Elevator imports from the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Sweden, Greece, Slovakia, Italy, and Lithuania all grew significantly, as shipments from these countries were either minimal or nonexistent in the previous year.
