Armenia has recorded significant growth in the number of officially employed citizens. According to statistics, the number of registered workers reached 785,195 in October 2024, marking a 6.6% increase compared to the same period last year.
The average nominal salary in October amounted to 276,419 drams ($691), reflecting a 4.3% year-on-year increase. However, compared to September 2024, there was a slight decrease of 1%. Wage growth was observed in both the public and private sectors, with increases of 6.8% and 3.5%, respectively.
Amid rising employment and wages, the country is experiencing moderate inflation. In October 2024, the annual consumer price index rose by 1.4%, while prices increased by 1.3% compared to the previous month.
