ENERGO-PRO GEORGIA declares, that high voltage lines in Mestia are fully rehabilitated and electricity supply to Mestia is fully restored.
"The technical teams successfully completed the most difficult task in a short time. Place of the accident was identified by helicopter and then ensured its recovery. All such events are on the verge of endangering the lives and health of our employees, for which we thank all these selfless professionals, but it cannot continue like this," - said Mikheil Botsvadze, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENERGO-PRO Georgia.
The head of the company talks about the illegal mining in Mestia and says that no network can withstand such electricity consumption. Therefore, the distribution company fully assumes responsibility for the situation in the region.
"No grid can withstand the electricity consumption that is observed there. Repeated accidents are inevitable, therefore ENERGO-PRO GEORGIA fully bears responsibility for the situation in Mestia. Even in these difficult days, the current energy consumption in Mestia reached the levels of December 2019, when we jointly with the local police turned off miner of GEL 5 million," said ENERGO-PRO GEORGIA.
