The era of oligarchic capitalism in Kazakhstan is coming to an end, said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan.
“The state is closely monitoring the activities of all major mining companies operating in our country. We will not allow illegal withdrawal of capital abroad. We will monitor the implementation of various social programs by them,” said Tokayev during a working trip to the Karaganda region.
Special attention will be paid to the process of modernization of production, environmental protection.
“Tax payments are under special control. If large industrial enterprises do not meet these requirements, we will be forced to end the partnership. This is by no means a threat, but simple, honest and fair rules of work, generally accepted throughout the civilized world. The era of oligarchic capitalism in Kazakhstan is coming to an end, a period of social responsibility to the citizens of the country is coming. Our citizens need an efficient and socially responsible business that takes a leading position in the country's economy,” Tokayev said, KazTag reports.
