On Thursday 24 June 2021, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia, Carl Hartzell will visit Ambrolauri, Racha to highlight EU support to regions in Georgia.
Ambassador Hartzell will meet local government and visit beneficiaries of EU-funded projects in the areas of civil society development, professional education and employment support as well as business development:
- A working meeting with local government to discuss development opportunities in the region;
- Meeting with the representatives of local CSOs and CBOs supported by the EU and Konrad Adenauer Fund (KAS) project “Civil Society STAR Initiative: CSOs as Sustainable, Transparent, Accountable and Resilient Development Actors in Georgia”;
- Visit to EU’s Skills4Jobs project “Learn, Exercise, Achieve, Receive, Network for Employment! (LEARN for Employment!)” implemented by Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) in partnership with the fund “Abkhazintercont”;
- Visit to Professional Education College “Erkvani” in the framework of the same project;
- Visit to private business, dried fruit and medical herbs producer LTD “Geo Flower” supported by EU and EBRD under the EU4Business.
