On August 29, Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, held talks with representatives of the European Union and the German development bank KFW.
The main topic of discussion was the implementation of the second phase of the "Community Infrastructure Program." This project aims to address water supply and wastewater management issues in rural areas of Armenia that are not served by the company Veolia Jur.
The European Union has allocated a grant of €12 million for the program's implementation. These funds will significantly enhance the quality of life in the country’s remote communities.
Following the meeting, it was noted that all organizational matters have been resolved. Competitive tenders are expected to be held soon, after which contractors will be selected. Construction work will commence once the contracts are signed.
