Demand for real estate in Adjara, including Batumi, is increasingly coming from European and Gulf countries, outpacing growth from Russian-speaking markets, according to REA Investment Director Irma Makharadze.
Makharadze said the company has seen growing interest from Germany, Poland, France, Slovakia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, as well as the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Interest from Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian buyers remains significant but relatively stable.
She attributed the trend to Georgia’s efforts to attract new international markets and its growing appeal as a relatively safe investment destination amid tensions in the Middle East. The shift, she added, is making Adjara’s real estate market more diversified.
