At the informal meeting of the European Council, the European leaders will discuss the situation in Georgia after the elections, - this was stated in the invitation letter of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, which he sent to the leaders of the EU member states.

"Also, we will discuss the situation in Georgia after the elections and the way forward," says Charles Michel's letter.

At the informal meeting of the European Council, which will be held in Budapest tomorrow, November 8, the leaders will talk about transatlantic relations and support for the United Nations.

"Our relationship with the USA is very important and we are ready to deepen it. In accordance with the strategic agenda, we must continue to implement our priorities, actively work towards the construction of a strong and sovereign Europe", says Charles Michel.

Also, the summit of the European political union will be held in Budapest today, in which 47 states, including Georgia, will take part.

At the summit of the European political union, the heads of states and governments will discuss European security challenges, Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine, the current escalation in the Middle East, illegal migration and global trade.
