In January-February of the current year, Armenia's export has significantly grown, reaching an impressive 2.6-fold increase compared to the same period last year.

The main driving force behind this increase has been the active re-export of Russian diamonds and gold to the UAE and Hong Kong, as reported by the Telegram channel "Economy of Armenia," specializing in economic news releases. In addition to precious metals, some growth is also observed in other commodity sectors, albeit relatively modest.

These include mineral products, equipment and machinery, textiles and textile articles, instruments, apparatus, and footwear.

However, certain sectors have seen a decrease in exports, particularly in the food and chemical industries.

This is likely due to an increase in domestic demand, which, according to experts, may be attributed to a variety of factors, including changes in consumer behavior and the economic situation in the country.

It is worth noting separately that the re-export of vehicles, which occupied leading positions in 2023 and 2022, has practically ceased.
