Zurab Mzekalashvili, founder of Winery "Sunwine", summarizes the company's results for 2023 and notes that this year the sales rate in Europe and America has increased.

"It was a very good year for "Sunwine", we had a 30% increase in sales. In general, exports for our company increase every year, although this year we had a special jump", says Zura Mzekalashvili.

"Sunwine" is a winery established in Kakheti in 2015, which produces premium quality Qvevri and barrel wines designed for the wide market. A large part of the company's production is exported to European countries and the USA, and a small part is sold in the local market.

In addition, the company opened its own wine bar in the USA a few years ago, where about 30 types of the company's wines are sold.

"Qvevri wine is relatively unfamiliar to Americans, although their interest is high because it is recognized by UNESCO. However, since they are not used to this taste, it is more interesting for them for a one-time tasting than for frequent consumption", - explains the founder of "Sunwine" and notes that in addition to the wine bar, the company's products are also distributed in various stores in the USA.

"Sunwine" produces such Georgian wines as: Rkatsiteli, Tsinandali, Alaznisveli (white, red), Saperavi, Kindzmarauli, Pirosmani, Mukuzani and others, as well as Qvevari wine (Rkatsiteli, Kisi, Khikhvi, Green, Saperavi) and chacha made by the traditional method.

For the local market, "Sunwine" sells industrial wine, which can be purchased in wine shops and chain markets, and the average price is 20-25 GEL.

The winery "Sunwine" produces up to 200,000 bottles of wine annually.
