External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 4 894.8 million in January-May 2018 (preliminary data), 24.5 percent higher year-on-year. The value of export increased by 28.0 percent reaching USD 1 284.7 million, while the import grew by 23.3 percent and amounted to USD 3 610.1 million. The trade deficit equaled USD 2 325.4 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 47.5 percent.
