Josep Borrell, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission stated that Georgia’s Family Values law will undermine the fundamental rights and increase discrimination.
He calls on Georgia to withdraw this legislation.
“The Georgian Parliament adopted laws on ‘family values and protection of minors’ which will undermine the fundamental rights of the people and increase discrimination and stigmatisation.
I call on Georgia to withdraw this legislation, further derailing the country from its EU path,” Josep Borrell wrote on the social network.
