The majority of beds at the field hospital for 500 patients to be opened in Didi Digomi district of Tbilisi will be equipped with oxygen concentrators, Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze stated.
The Minister explained that military doctors will serve patients in the field hospital and the facility will only be used 'when there is no other way'.
"We are also cooperating with the Red Cross which has experience in working with volunteers,” Tikaradze said.
According to the Minister, filed hospitals will open beyond Tbilisi if needed; however, Tikaradze added that it is highly anticipated for the reintroduction of restrictions to curb the further spread of COVID-19.
