“Fifty-five persons have been added to the PNG list. Unfortunately, we deeply regret what’s happening politically in Georgia,” said Artjoms Uršuļskis, Parliamentary Secretary of the Latvian Foreign Ministry, ahead of the Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
According to Artjoms Uršuļskis, there are problems in Georgia with freedom of speech.
“Some political opponents have been held in prison or who have been forced to get out of the country. We will try to get as much support from our European partners as we can. Because only a joint position, a strong joint position, could possibly work.
We already have some communication with others. We have a group of like-minded countries, which is quite huge, and, we hope to get more partners to be vocal on that. We are vocal, but we need to have more strength if we want to make some progress with the ruling party in Georgia,” he said.
