The Georgian Finance-Budgetary Committee supported the proposal put forth by Speaker Shalva Papuashvili to raise wages for MPs.
The initiative will be enforced from January 2025 for the lawmakers of the new convocation parliament.
The wage of a member of the parliament ranges from GEL 4,000 to 7,000, depending on the position. If the parliament approves the initiative, the wages will be GEL 8,000-10,000, including VAT.
