Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili on Tuesday discussed cooperation with Cécile Couprie, the Regional Director for Eurasia for the French Development Agency, and outlined plans for the third annual bilateral consultation meeting between the Georgian Government and the institution.
The Ministry of Finance said the sides discussed progress achieved as a result of bilateral cooperation and agreed on future partnership.
Khutsishvili thanked Couprie and other AFD officials for their support for the economic development of Georgia and “priority areas” - such as the country’s European perspective, energy independence, human capital and regional development.
He also noted their support for reform of state enterprises, the domestic railway sector, water supply and irrigation infrastructure, social welfare and healthcare fields, and the fight against climate change.
On their part, the AFD officials expressed readiness to continue cooperation with Georgia and support its economic and structural reforms, the Ministry said.
