Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili on Friday met Massimiliano D'Antuono, the Italian Ambassador to the country, to discuss bilateral cooperation in trade and economics.
The Ministry said the meeting also featured Ekaterine Guntsadze, the country's Deputy Finance Minister, as the parties discussed Georgia’s indicators of economic growth, its macro and fiscal indicators.
The body noted the officials expressed their readiness to continue partnership between the two countries, which they said would “further enhance” cooperation between Italian and Georgian businesses.
The sides also reviewed Georgia’s steps towards European Union integration and support for the process from Italy, one of the founding members of the bloc.
