Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili met with Antonella Bassani, World Bank Vice President for the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region.
The parties reviewed the issues of cooperation between the World Bank and Georgia and the projects that are implemented with the support of the World Bank, both in the public and private sectors.
The minister shared the current macroeconomic situation in the country, the steps taken by the government and planned reforms in the direction of economic growth and fiscal consolidation in 2021-2023.
As mentioned, work is underway on the preparation of the updated partnership framework (CPF) between Georgia and the World Bank, which will contribute to the further development of the country. At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue active cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers of Finance Giorgi Kakauridze, Ekaterine Guntsadze, Mirza Gelashvili, Regional Director of the World Bank in South Caucasus Roland Price and members of the World Bank Group mission.
