Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili echoes Finland’s accession to NATO on Twitter.
“History made as Finland becomes the 31st member of NATO. Congratulations! This is a strong encouragement, and Georgia will faithfully continue its Euro-Atlantic integration path,” President tweeted.
Finnish President Sauli Niinistö will travel to Brussels on Tuesday to attend an accession ceremony at NATO headquarters that officially marks the country's entry into the military alliance.
The statement was confirmed by the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg. According to him, a flag-raising ceremony will be held to mark Finland's accession to NATO.
