First marinade made of Georgian grown olives will appear on the market. Georgian Olives company is planning to produce black and green olive marinade. The company has already been producing olive oil for several months. Giorgi Svanidze, the founder of the company, told BM.ge that presently the product is being seasoned with salt and in about a month consumers will see it in shops.
According to Svanidze, this year, the company will produce relatively small amount – up to 2 tons of marinade, but for the next year they are planning to sell much more. The businessman states that the price of the product is going to be less than for imported, however, the quality will be much higher.
The Georgian Olive company owns orchards in Sakobo Village in Kakheti. Georgian olive oil is already being sold on local market and the company is planning to export it.
