“The concern about the Georgian government’s approach is broadly shared. This is contradictory to the approach of the EU candidate country,” said Caspar Veldkamp, Foreign Minister of the Netherlands.
According to Caspar Veldkamp, Georgian people strive for the European horizon.
“What I see is that the concern about the Georgian government’s approach is broadly shared. This is contradictory to the approach of the EU candidate country. I care about the people in Georgia. I see many people strive for the European horizon, and many people appreciate visa freedom. We are going to discuss what can be done. But I see that the concern is broadly shared about the developments in Georgia because it contradicts the country’s EU candidate status,” he said.
