Georgia is becoming a popular wedding destination for foreign couples, according to Laka Tsereteli, founder of "Laka Wedding". Speaking on BMGTV’s Women’s Narrative, she noted that couples from Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom frequently choose Georgia to celebrate one of the most important days of their lives.
While demand from Georgian couples remains stable, international interest is growing, driven by the country’s unique locations and improved event infrastructure. Tsereteli explained that years ago the lack of venues and variety posed challenges, but today these issues have largely been resolved, giving couples more flexibility in planning.
She acknowledged that wedding costs have increased, but emphasized that a memorable celebration does not necessarily require a large budget. “If priorities are set correctly, a beautiful wedding can be achieved with modest expenses. Prices depend on the couple’s requirements and services, but the key is knowing the budget and planning around it,” Tsereteli said.
As for the desire of Georgians to have their wedding abroad, the founder of Laka Wedding notes that there is definitely interest, although the significant difference in prices remains a serious challenge for them. According to her, Georgia continues to attract both local and international couples as a competitive and scenic wedding destination.
