"Foreign customers like our wine very much, but we need to work on promotion", Giorgi Skhirtladze, the founder of wineries "Rtoni" and "Melitoni" told BMGTV.
According to him, they are actively working in exporting directions and are already represented in more than 10 countries.
"We are actively working in terms of exports. We export wine to more than 10 countries. We try to help our exporters to sell. The only difficulty we face is that Georgian wines made by traditional method are very much liked by exporters and they want to take them to international markets, but Georgian wines need help. It is still a new product for the world, therefore work is needed in terms of promotion. We distribute our wines in all countries and try to simplify the sales process for exporters. We are involved in this as much as possible.
As for production volume, it will remain stable. "Rtoni" produces 30,000-40,000 bottles, while "Melitoni" - up to 200,000 bottles.
Finally, we exported to Great Britain. We want to take over the British market", says Skhirtladze.
