Foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan reached $111 billion in 2022

Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover has reached $111 billion in 2022, reports the press service of the Prime Minister.

“Economic growth amounted to 2.7% in January-November. Foreign trade turnover increased by 34% and reached $111 billion. The Concept of Investment Policy until 2026 was adopted this year, aimed at creating a new investment cycle and revising the investment attraction policy taking into account new trends and standards,” said Alibek Kuantirov, Minister of National Economy.

According to the minister, a lot of work has been done to develop the regions, including a plan for the territorial development of the country until 2025.

“To reform the tariff policy, a new concept was proposed - “Tariff in exchange for investment”. By 2029, it is planned to reach the indicator of reducing the wear and tear of engineering networks to 20 percent. This will require repair of more than 134 thousand km of networks involving about 3.8 trillion tenge (US$ 8.2 bln) of investments. So, next year it is planned to attract about 300 billion tenge (US$ 646 mln) to repair 13.2 thousand km of heat and power supply networks and increase the salaries of workers in the field of natural monopolies up to 50%,” KazTag informs with reference to the report.
