Former Ambassador to Denmark Gigi Gigiadze joins the EPRC team
Former Ambassador to Denmark Gigi Gigiadze joined the team of Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC) as a senior researcher.
"We have a new member in the EPRC team. Gigi Gigiadze has joined us and we are very happy,” the head of the center Nino Evgenidze wrote on the social network.
Gigi Gigiadze was the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in 2014-2016. Since 2017, he was Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark and Iceland. However, in January 2021 he was ousted from that position. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia explained that the rotation term was expired.
Gigi Gigiadze was the only ambassador who supported Iveri Melashvili and Natalia Ilychova, accused in the so-called Cartographers' Case.
