Former Minister of Defense of Georgia, Juansher Burculadze, has been arrested, the State Security Service (SSG) announced today.
According to the agency, the arrest followed operational-search and investigative actions carried out under a court ruling.
“Juansher Burculadze, former Minister of Defense of Georgia, has been arrested for abuse of official powers and legalization of illegal income by a public official, which involved receiving an especially large amount of income,” the SSG stated.
Further details on the case have not yet been released.
