Former Liberty Bank CEO Beka Gogichaishvili has been appointed as the new Director of Rustavi Steel.
The decision made by the company's owners was reflected in the Public Registry on July 23. Gogichaishvili replaces Igor Korytko; the partners cited the "best interests of the company" for Korytko's dismissal and the appointment of the new director.
Beka Gogichaishvili was appointed CEO of Liberty Bank in June 2022 and held the position until Liberty was acquired by BasisBank on April 16, 2026. Prior to that, he served as a member of Liberty Bank's Supervisory Board starting in 2020.
Throughout his career, he has worked at organizations such as Universal Card Corporation, TBC Bank, the Partnership Fund, and Hunnewell Partners (UK) LLP. He holds a Master's degree in Management and Finance from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom.
