In January-September 2020, Georgia purchased mobile phones worth 114.5 million USD or 370 million GEL. According to Geostat, the figure is 15.9% less comparing to the same period of 2019.
However, for comparison, $ 114.5 million is $ 34 million more than Georgia spent on wheat purchase.
Georgia buys most of its smartphones from one of the global wholesale centers - the United Arab Emirates. Hong Kong also takes a leading position in import statistics.
