From which creditors does Georgia get new loans?

The Georgian government is planning to borrow 4.47 billion GEL as a new debt due to the COVID-19 crisis.

According to the budget submitted by the Ministry of Finance, the funding attracted in the form of emergency funding is distributed as follows:

• Asian Development Bank (ADB) - GEL 1.455 billion;
• KFW - 805 million GEL;
• IMF - 603 million GEL;
• Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank - 450 million GEL;
• French Development Bank - 439 million GEL;
• World Bank - 396 million GEL;
• EU - 241 million GEL.
