"On my instructions, the competition agency started studying the oil market. The final picture will be presented at the end of February. As a result of our intervention, as you know, the prices were adjusted and reduced in this direction as well, although now I have the December data in front of me and I see that there are very high margins and oil importers still get high profits, which is unacceptable.
I would like to appeal to the ministers to call the oil importers and lower the prices to a reasonable level. The profit from one liter of petrol cannot be 80-90 tetri, almost 1 GEL. It is necessary to regulate this matter in the shortest possible time.
I believe that our compatriot importers will consider the situation of the people and reduce the prices. This issue needs constant attention and monitoring so that temptation does not arise," said the Prime Minister.
