Zuka Badridze, head of furniture manufacturing company Home Made declares that furniture sales are down by 60-70%.

"It is absurd, the customers to buy the furniture online with the same volume, as they used to buy it at the store, even during the New Year," said the company director.

The company says that the administration faces reducing employees' salaries because sales of "HomeMade" furniture have halved at least in the last two months.

"It is very difficult to make a preliminary forecast. In this industry, it has become impossible to predict a customer's decision in advance.

We sent the employees on unpaid leave, and the loss of the pandemic naturally affected the salary fund as well," Zuka Badridze said.

According to HomeMade, like other industries, it is unknown when the sector will be able to return to the pre-pandemic level.
