Georgian confectionery brand Fusfusi has already begun baking traditional Easter cakes (paska) ahead of the holiday season. According to founder Natia Kurshubadze, the company officially announced the start of pre-orders on February 13, and demand has been steadily growing since then, including orders from corporate clients.
Kurshubadze says the brand traditionally bakes test batches of Easter cakes in the weeks leading up to Easter, which she considers a kind of preparation process. Despite having baked millions of Easter cakes over the years, she admits that the holiday season still brings a sense of anticipation and responsibility.
Although the cost of raw materials such as eggs and raisins has increased significantly, the company has decided not to raise prices this year. Kurshubadze says the decision was made out of consideration for loyal customers, even though production costs have risen.
The price of Fusfusi’s 650-gram paska remains 45 GEL. While 2025 was relatively slow due to economic challenges affecting consumer spending, Kurshubadze says the start of 2026 has shown signs of recovery, with strong sales during the New Year season. However, she notes that it is still too early to make firm forecasts for Easter sales.
