The Bill on Lotteries, Gambling and Prize-Winning Games envisages the development of the effective state control mechanism on gambling, discussed today with the I reading by the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee. The Deputy Finance Minister, Mikheil Dundua dwelt on the changes and stressed the positive expected outcomes.
“Practice revealed that there are gaps in various directions, for instance, “provision of the game” abroad was impossible so far due to the absence of the access to the server to control the integrity of the provision. The change eliminates these gaps and all the spheres related to the gambling, shall be subject to the control and the providers shall pay the permission fees”.
The changes extend the service provision beyond Georgia to facilitate the establishment of the best international practice and effective control.
The Committee approved the Bill with the first reading.
