In 2025, Georgia’s gaming market experienced a return of customers, signaling recovery for the sector, according to Giorgi Mamulaishvili, head of the Georgian Gambling Business Association. He noted that after restrictions were introduced, the market began to rebound in 2024, with annual growth averaging 15–20%.
While detailed financial results for 2025 are not yet available, Mamulaishvili expects the sector to have seen growth in both revenue and profits, similar to the previous year. He emphasized that this turnaround was largely driven by legal operators regaining customers who had previously left the market.
“The business managed to achieve a turning point in the sector. Since 2024, the market has been growing annually by 15–20%, as operators successfully attracted back customers who had left, using the offers and services available,” Mamulaishvili said.
However, he warned that illegal operators remain a major challenge. “Another critical issue is the activity of illegal operators, who are currently quite active in the Georgian market, creating problems for legal operators,” he added.
