Tbilisi Energy reports that a 500-millimeter central gas pipeline supplying Vake-Saburtalo district of Tbilisi has been damaged.
The company’s technical teams are already working to restore the pipeline.
In an additional statement, Tbilisi Energy noted that the damage was likely caused by a “third party.”
“An investigation is underway, and further details will be provided as soon as possible,” the company stated.
Depending on the extent of the damage, gas supply restoration will begin in stages tomorrow morning.
“Tbilisi Energy apologizes for the inconvenience and urges subscribers to exercise caution and avoid leaving gas taps open,” the statement reads.
