"Tbilisi Energy" is raising gas tariffs for commercial customers - the company itself has issued a statement. According to the statement, the tariff, which used to be GEL 1.10 per cubic meter will now become GEL 1.35. The change will affect 20,000 commercial subscribers.
"Recently, the price of natural gas in the world market has risen sharply and the growth trend is still maintained.
Considering that the purchase price of gas for commercial customers is increasing for Tbilisi Energy Ltd. from July 1, 2022, the company is forced to adjust the price for commercial customers in order not to hinder the process of purchasing natural gas and uninterrupted gas supply to customers.
Based on the above, from July 1, 2022, the price of natural gas to be supplied to the commercial customers of the company will be set at GEL 1.35 per cubic meter (including VAT). Despite the increase, the price of natural gas for commercial customers of Tbilisi Energy Ltd will be the lowest in the country.
"We want to emphasize that the price of natural gas does not increase for household consumers," the company said in a statement.
The current tariff of GEL 1.10 for commercial subscribers was valid from January 3, 2021.
