The gastro bar "Daira" was opened in Tbilisi in Kostava Street, near the Philharmonic Hall a few weeks ago.
The new hospitality facility combines a wine cellar with wine from about 200 winemakers and a restaurant space, where the guests can taste drinks along with chef Guram Bagdoshvili's dishes made with Georgian, French and Italian recipes.
The chef opened "Daira" together with his partners. As he told BM.GE, the gastro bar was opened in the place of the former cafe and the existing space was completely renovated.
"The restaurant employees up to 12 persons. The place of the restaurant used to be a hotel restaurant and we used its existing resources and turned it into a new restaurant. We have organized a wine storage on the first floor. "Daira" combines a restaurant and a wine shop in one space. About 200 Georgian and European wines are presented here. "Daira" wine shop offers Georgian wines to consumers at democratic prices, so that everyone can taste good wine at an affordable price.
Daira offers Georgian, French and Italian cuisine, the menu is quite interesting, cooked from meat products, fish and vegetables. The hall is designed for 50 persons.
Now we mainly work for small groups, we organize wine evenings, where we also offer guests different types of plates", explained the chef.
Guram Bagdoshvili notes that "Daira" together with its partners plans to develop and open new facilities in the future, although the details are not yet known.
