Premium alcohol importer GD Alco declares, that the growth of the HoReCa sector has improved sales dynamics. According to Beka Kiknadze, director of sales and marketing of the company, 2022 has been "the best" for the company in the last 3 years.
"Compared to last year, our volumes have increased by about 30%. We are having the best year ever and we are going back to the sales of 2019. After the war, many Russian and Belarusian citizens came to the country. After the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, the HoReCa sector has doubled compared to last year, especially in Tbilisi and Batumi," Beka Kiknadze said.
According to him, along with the increase in sales, the mix of products sold by the company has also changed.
"If cheaper drinks were sold before, today expensive products are sold. This dynamic will continue for several months and will last until the middle of next year," said a representative of GD Alco, adding that the company has not increased prices this year, as the exchange rate of the GEL has stabilized, and no price increase is planned until the end of 2022.
GD Alco imports the country such well-known whiskey brands as: Jack Daniels, Jameson, Martin, Johnnie Walker, Baileys and Jaeger Meister.
