The lari strengthened as a result of the June 1 trade. The change in the exchange rate against the US dollar was 1.41 tetri, as a result of which the official value of the dollar became 3.2547 GEL. This is the lowest value of the dollar throughout 2021.
According to the NBG, the national currency strengthened by 0.51 tetri against the euro, as a result of which the official value of one euro became 3.9792 GEL.
Today, the lari strengthened against the Turkish lira by 0.21 tetri, as a result of which its value became 0.3819 GEL. The British pound sterling fee was reduced by 1.64 tetri and amounted to 4.6165 GEL.
The courses obtained as a result of today's trading will take effect from tomorrow, June 2.
During 2021, the NBG conducted a total of 7 currency auctions to reduce GEL exchange rate fluctuations and sold $ 242.9 million.
