Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, George Kobulia met with the local small entrepreneurs in Akhaltsikhe regions, who took the advantage of the state program for the micro and small entrepreneurs. George Kobulia examined some of those enterprises – the private kindergarten opened by Darejan Inasaridze (co-financing – 5000 GEL), Nino Vardidze’s vet-clinic (co-financing – 5000 GEL) and the confectionery enterprise of the partnership Fantasy (co-financing – 15000 GEL).
“I am glad to meet the people who have succeeded with our facilitation, the success of each of them is our common success” – the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development stated. According to George Kobulia, the SME development is one of the main factors of the economic growth of the country and its development in the regions is of utmost importance.
Every beneficiary of the micro and small entrepreneurship program in Akhaltsikhe successfully operates in the field. Through the co-financing component of the state program, they became able to purchase the necessary inventory for their businesses and create new jobs.
Micro and Small Entrepreneurship Promotion Program of the Enterprise Georgia Agency was established for the financial and technical support of micro and small enterprises in the regions of Georgia. The program is targeted at supporting new businesses, as well as the extension/re-equipment of the existing enterprises.
