Georgia's score is 76 out of 100 countries reviewed in the recent Freedom on the Net 2020 report of The Freedom House published today. Georgia’s status is free unchanged from the last report; however, it has improved its score.
“Digital freedom is generally protected in Georgia. However, several challenges related to the increase in the number of cyber-attacks and in domestic content manipulation were observed during the coverage period. Even though rates of internet access continue to grow, government efforts to expand internet infrastructure have stalled” – reads the report.
