Georgia and China have agreed to deepen cooperation in investment, energy, automotive manufacturing, transport and logistics, Deputy Economy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili said following his visit to China.
Nadareishvili described the visit as “important and very productive,” noting that Georgian officials held bilateral meetings with representatives of the Chinese private sector. “We brought back specific proposals and projects and agreed on further steps in almost every direction,” he said.
According to the deputy minister, the next stage will involve Chinese companies participating in the development and detailed assessment of the proposed projects, followed by joint decisions on their implementation.
Nadareishvili said working groups from various Chinese companies and sectors are expected to visit Georgia in the near future to continue discussions and advance the projects on the ground.
