Georgia and Greece sign driving license recognition agreement

Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri and his deputy, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, met with Christos Staikouras, Greece’s Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, during their official visit to Greece.

The two ministers signed an agreement for the mutual recognition of driving licenses. Under this agreement, license holders will be able to obtain a driving license of equal validity without having to take theoretical or practical exams in their country of residence.

This applies to license categories AM, A1, A2, A, B1, B, BE, C1, C, D1, D1E, D, DE, CE, and C1E.

Georgia has previously signed similar agreements with Spain and Ireland.
